B. Driving Licence (D.L)

 

1. Necessity of Driving Licence.

 

No person shall drive a motor vehicle in any public place unless he holds an effective DRIVING LICENCE issued by licensing Authority authorizing him to drive vehicle of that particular category.

 

2. Types of Driving Licence

a) Learner’s Licence- This licence is valid upto six months  which authorises the holder to learn driving. During learning, person holding permanent D.L. must sit with the learner.

          b) Permanent Driving Licence.

 

 3. Whom to apply:                     Licensing Authority (R.T.O) of concerned region.

C. International Driving Permit

International driving permits are issued by Transport Commissioner, Orissa, Cuttack, Addl. Commissioner Transport  ( Technical ), Orissa, Cuttack, Principal, Driving Training School, Bhubaneswar which is valid for one year.

  12. The application for registration is to be made within 7 days from the date of purchase of vehicle.
